Industrial aluminum profile is an aluminum-based alloy material. Aluminum rods are melted and extruded to produce aluminum materials with different cross-sectional shapes. The following introduces the complete processing flow of industrial aluminum profiles.
The production process begins with melting and casting. Raw material components are precisely proportioned according to the required aluminum alloy grade to ensure accurate material composition. Qualified raw materials are put into the smelting furnace for melting, and the molten liquid is refined through degassing and slag removal to eliminate internal impurities and gas. After refining, the purified molten aluminum is cast into solid round ingots of various specifications through a professional casting system.
Extrusion is the core forming procedure of aluminum profiles. Custom molds are manufactured according to the cross-sectional structure of the finished profile. Heated aluminum ingots are pushed through the mold by an extrusion machine to achieve target profile shapes. The commonly used 6063 aluminum alloy adopts online air cooling heat treatment and post-extrusion artificial aging for structural strengthening. Different heat-treatable aluminum alloys are matched with independent and standardized heat treatment processes to ensure mechanical performance.
Surface coloring and finishing are conducted after extrusion. The profile surface is cleaned through chemical and physical treatments to remove impurities and expose a pure substrate, which helps form uniform and high-quality oxide layers. Mechanical processing can also create mirror or matte surface effects. Cleaned profiles undergo anodizing to generate dense, porous, high-adhesion alumina films on the surface. Sealing treatment is then performed to close the micropores of the oxide film, effectively improving dirt resistance, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Since the oxide film itself is transparent, metal salts can be adsorbed and deposited inside the pores before sealing, enabling the profile surface to present bronze, black, golden yellow and other customized colors.
Complete aluminum profile production also includes precision finishing, sealing and other advanced treatments. Melting, extrusion and coloring represent the core manufacturing procedures, determining the appearance, performance and service quality of industrial aluminum profiles.
